Here I’m going to keep a list of my own frequently used Laravel 5.2 terminal commands. Every time I need to use one of these commands I end up googling and looking at several different sites to find the right command, and some are outdated. Here’s the list.
Use .htaccess to point http server root to Laravel’s public folder:
RewriteEngine On

Setup an sqlite database
in terminal:
$ touch database/database.sqlite
in .env file:
DB_CONNECTION=sqlite
DB_DATABASE=/absolute/path/to/database.sqlite

Clear view caches
php artisan view:clear
Clear cache

Create a new project called “blog” with the preferred distrubution of Laravel
composer create-project laravel/laravel tkcms –prefer-dist
Make a new model
php artisan make:model model-name
Make a new empty controller
php artisan make:controller MyController
Make a new controller with all standard methods
php artisan make:controller MyController –resource
Database
Create a table called create_users_table
php artisan make:migration create_users_table
GULP:
$ gulp //compiles sass
$ gulp watch //watches for changes and auto-compiles sass
$ control-c to stop gulp watch
